Let's start with ABC...What is an Ocean Shipment?

Ocean freight shipping is the most common and largest method of transportation used around the globe, mostly because of it’s flexibility. Ocean vessels are able to carry a much larger load than any other shipping method and travel very long distances.

Importer Security Filing

The Importer Security Filing is a mandatory step for any shipment entering the US via ocean vessel. Also known as a 10+2, the ISF must be submitted to CBP no less than 24 hours before the goods are loaded onto the vessel destined to a US port.

Late ISF filing may get you in trouble!
